“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from your infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
On Sunday mornings the kids at Living Word gather to learn and experience God’s teachings through Bible lessons in the Old and New Testaments. Sunday School begins at 8:45 AM with music and then the kids will separate into age-appropriate classes for lessons.
The devoted teachers lovingly give of their time each week in order to further God’s kingdom as the children learn the wonderful Bible stories, instilling His Word in their hearts. The children are encouraged to bring their own Bibles and also to bring a friend to Sunday school each week. Sunday school students sing during the Sunday morning worship service one Sunday per month.
Dependent on God’s Holy Spirit, it is our prayer that God continues to bless the children throughout their lives that they might spread the Gospel to others, leading humble, peaceful lives and shining the light of Jesus Christ wherever God leads them.
We endeavor to fulfill Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way they should go; even when they are old they will not depart from it.”
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation classes are held during the school year for students in grades seven and eight. This is a two-year program which focuses on the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, and the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism along with an overview of the Old Testament and New Testament. In addition, members of the church serve as mentors for each of the students during their second year of study.
Please lift our teachers up in prayer always for God’s direction in their own lives as they bless the lives of our Living Word children.
